Project Partners

The SECURE project brings together partners from across Europe, combining expertise in cybersecurity, digital regulation, SME support, and innovation. It is composed of 9 partners from Austria, Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Romania and Spain representing NCCs, EDIHs, standardization organizations, national authorities and experts. Together, we work to strengthen the resilience of Europe’s digital ecosystem.

ACN - National Cybersecurity Agency

ACN is Italy's National Cybersecurity Authority protecting national interests in the field of cybersecurity and  hosts NCC-IT. It ensures the implementation of the National Cybersecurity Strategy adopted by the President of the Council of Ministers. In line with its mission, ACN supports national private and public entities in the mitigation of cyber incidents, pursues EU and national strategic autonomy in digital, and promotes cybersecurity training and awareness-raising.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

ACN is the lead partner of SECURE, ensuring a sound coordination of all work packages. ACN leads WP7 - "SECURE the management: Project Management and Coordination" and oversees the monitoring and evaluation process. Due to its extensive experience in cybersecurity, ACN actively contributes to project’s outcomes and key deliverables.

Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium

Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium

The Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) is the national authority for cybersecurity in Belgium. It supervises, coordinates and monitors the application of the Belgian cybersecurity strategy. Through optimal information exchange, companies, the government, providers of essential services and the population can protect themselves appropriately. The CCB also coordinates the evaluation and certification process for the security of information and communication systems, thus contributing to relevant CRA standards.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

The CCB is leading the work dedicated to capacity enhancement, focusing on upskilling and fostering interaction among SMEs. In close collaboration with the other partners, we help SMEs enhance their cybersecurity readiness through three main tasks in in WP 4 - "SECURE the knowledge: SMEs capacity enhancement": (1) developing guidelines and materials to support CRA compliance, (2) providing training sessions and tailored workshops in coordination with the EU Cybersecurity Skills Academy to upskill SMEs and (3) helping to create a methodological compliance self-assessment approach to help them navigate essential cybersecurity requirements.

Cyber 4.0

Cyber 4.0

Cyber 4.0 is Italy’s National Competence Center for Cybersecurity, promoted and co-funded by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy. The Center is a broad public-private partnership that brings together 10 universities and more than 50 organizations, including public institutions, large companies, and specialized SMEs. Its mission is to guide policymakers, businesses, and public administrations toward secure digitalization by providing strategic solutions, advanced technologies, and enabling services.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

Within SECURE, Cyber 4.0 leverages its longstanding expertise in the management of public funds, taking the lead of WP2 – "SECURE SMEs: Access to finance and open calls for European SME".  Thus, Cyber 4.0 is responsible for defining the process for managing and allocating financial support to SMEs and start-ups, planning and coordinating the launch of open calls, and monitoring their progress. Together with its partner IdeaRe, Cyber 4.0 is responsible for ensuring and facilitating access to funding through the development and maintenance of a platform for managing open calls.

Idea-Re

Idea-Re Srl is a Technology Transfer Center 4.0, that carries out research activities in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing, developing novel A.I. algorithms and digital platforms for real-life applications. Idea-Re Srl is a partner of Cyber 4.0 and has already developed a platform supporting Cyber 4.0 in the allocation of funds to innovative SMEs.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

Under Cyber 4.0 coordination, Idea-Re Srl will design, develop, and maintain both the WP2 platform dedicated to FSTP as well as the WP3 project central repository.

Incibe

Incibe - Instituto Nacional de Ciberseguridad

INCIBE – Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute is a public entity under the Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Service of Spain. As a leading institution in the field of cybersecurity, INCIBE works to strengthen digital trust, promote a robust cybersecurity ecosystem, and support businesses in building cyber resilience. INCIBE is also designated as Spain’s National Coordination Centre (NCC) within the European cybersecurity framework.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

INCIBE leads WP 3 - "SECURE the network: creation and animation of the central repository", by coordinating the efforts of the project on setting up an openly available platform (developed and maintained by Cyber 4.0), managing the external content collection (CRA-related resources) and fostering online community engagement.

Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity

The Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity (LHC) is the national cybersecurity agency for Luxembourg. Acting as a bridge between industry, institutions, public bodies and the broader cybersecurity ecosystem, LHC aims at capitalising on and further developing innovation, competencies, collaboration and capacity building. Alongside its two hosted centres — the Computer Incident Response Center Luxembourg (CIRCL) and the National Cybersecurity Competence Center (NC3) — LHC delivers services ranging from incident response and threat intelligence to competence development and ecosystem animation.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

LHC leads WP5 by mapping and collecting relevant use cases and good practices of CRA compliance to be disseminated throughout the project.

NASK

NASK is a National Research Institute under the supervision of the Ministry of Digital Affairs of Poland. Cybersecurity and user protection, NASK's key activities, involve ensuring security online. Responding to network security violations occurring in Poland and coordinating corrective actions is the responsibility of the Centre for Cybersecurity, which also comprises the CERT Poland team. The Standardisation and Certification Centre of NASK acts as an accredited Certification Body. The Centre certifies products, processes, and services in the field of IT security (cybersecurity) and also carries out the assessment and certification of competences.

ROLE IN THE PROJECT

NASK is the leader of the WP 1 - "SECURE stakeholders: Initial stocktaking and stakeholder engagement" and the consortium member responsible for defining and engaging stakeholders, as well as identifying their needs prior to the first call. NASK also leads T6.4 - "Contribution to standardisation effort" supporting SMEs in relation to standardisation in conjunction with the CRA.

Plattform Industrie 4.0 Österreich

Platform Industry 4.0 Austria has been active in the field of Industry 4.0 since it was established as an association in 2015. Founded by six organizations, Platform Industry 4.0 organizes over 60 events annually and other activities, all aimed at addressing technological developments, emerging trends, and practical use cases, thereby fostering the exchange of knowledge and best practices. Moreover, Platform Industry 4.0 coordinates and develops policy recommendations.
